Town Attorney
Benjamin Stock is a member of the public law firm Burke, Williams & Sorensen, and is located in the firm’s San Rafael office. He received his J.D. from U.C. Hastings, and B.A. in Environmental Science from U.C. Berkeley. Ben has over eighteen years of experience with land use and planning matters, including advising public agencies on CEQA compliance, land use approvals, and successfully defending those decisions in court. He currently serves as the Town Attorney for the Town of Tiburon, assistant City Attorney for the City of Healdsburg, and General Counsel to multiple public entities throughout the Bay Area. Additionally, Ben recently served as one of a selected group of sitting City Attorneys with significant litigation experience to participate with the League of California Cities’ Legal Advocacy Committee, deciding when and how to assist other cities with filing briefs on behalf of the League on matters of statewide concern. Ben lives in Marin County with his wife and two children.
