Ross Emergency Operations Plan
Get Ready Program and Community Emergency Response Training (CERT)
The Get Ready program is a two-hour disaster preparedness class designed to educate residents with basic skills to survive a disaster. Contact the Ross Valley Fire Department at (415) 258-4686 for the class schedule. Those who appreciate the Get Ready concept may also want to take Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) offered locally through the County of Marin. This 12-hour class is taught over two days and expands the student’s skills so they can assist other residents as part of a neighborhood team. For further information or to register for a CERT class, go to http://readymarin.org.
Ross Disaster Preparedness Council (DISCO)
DISCO was formed to establish Block Captains in each Ross neighborhood whose mission is to educate Ross residents in caring for themselves during the critical 72-hour to one-week period following an emergency. If you are interested in becoming a Block Captain, please contact Gil Fleitas at fleitas@mac.com
